Musician Henry Mwanje has requested President Museveni to open up the art industry and let them work because they have suffered a lot.
He made the statement during an interview with BBS Television.
Since Covid19 lockdown many sectors were closed up the art industry inclusive. However, other sectors were opened up but the art industry was never opened up to now.
According to Henry Mwanje the closing up of the art industry looks to be political yet some artists are not political. That’s were he was on his knees requesting President Museveni to open up the industry because artists are becoming poor every now and then.
“I am on my knees requesting President Museveni to open up the art industry. He said they are really suffering because most of them are not political” Henry Mwanje said.
Henry Mwanje is not the first artist to come up and request President Museveni to open the art industry but also the artists like Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, Fik Fameica and many others.
It should be noted that President Museveni has been talking about the art industry saying if 80% of Ugandans are vaccinated he will be able to let them work.
