I will defy Electoral Commission directives on campaigns – POA

The president of Forum for Democratic Change political party and flag bearer in the race for the country’s big seat in the 2021 general elections Patrick Oboi Amurait has said that he is going to defy the directives of the electoral commission on campaigns.

This follows the body’s directives to suspend campaigns in cities and towns that are labelled as having high spread of Covid19.

The opposition political parties have called out the act as one intended on blocking them from campaigning in areas where they have the most support.

FDC’s Patrick Oboi Amuriat has come out to openly announce that he will not comply to the directives of the Electoral Commission which bars the candidtaes from operating in more than ten (10) cities/towns.

While responding to the directives that were issued through a statement read to the public by the body’s spokesperson Paul Bukenya, Patrick Amuriat said that all stakeholders should have been consulted.
