From people fighting their way through the lockdown brought about by the novel Corona Virus and COVID-19 to the fight of the opposition getting through to win the forth coming elections, everything about this year screams “STRUGGLE”.

National Unity Platform president and presidential hopeful Hon Kyagulanyi Sentamu has asked fellow musicians and all members of the entertainment and music fraternity to join his cause as he fights to get to the country’s biggest office.

He said musicians and entertainers have a big following in the country as well as a big influence on the people and they should use their platforms to ask their fans to join in pursue for a “New Uganda” as the slogan for his campaign goes.

He also pleaded with them to stay away from the ruling party; the National Resistance Movement (NRM) claiming that it has failed in its position as the government to deliver on their promises and make the country as they promise in their manifestos and resort to use their positions to accomplish their personal goals.

“Musicians should embrace the struggle for our freedom. For long, we have been used by the government and only to drop us after campaigns. We should  join the fans in this struggle,”

Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentemu, NUP President
