Hon. Kyagulanyi’s National Unity Platform (NUP) have developed a mobile application named “U Vote” which will be used by the party to monitor election results across the country.

According to the National Unity Platform Presidential candidate, the app which will be available via Google Play Store, will be used to share results as declared at the different Polling Stations for tallying.

“We want to use this app to minimize any loose ends to vote-rigging. It will be used by our agents to send Declaration Forms,”

Kyagulanyi made the revelation while addressing the nation in his New Year’s message at his home in Magere.

Kyagulanyi also revealed allegations that illegal tallying centers had been established in Mbuya and Nakasongola, by the ruling party, National Resistance Movement (NRM), to aid vote-rigging.

He asked the electoral body, the Uganda Electoral Commission to be transparent to ensure a legal and smooth process of free and fair elections.

“We have information that the Electoral Commission intends to delay voting materials in the areas of Kampala, Mukono and Maska, we want to tell you that the people of Uganda won’t allow that,”
