Comedian Patrick Idringi alias Salvador has showed dissatisfaction with the way government handles the members of opposition making reference to the current condition of former presidential candidate Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine.
Members of the opposition, most especially presidential candidates like Hon. Kyagulanyi were on the receiving end of Police and military brutality for the entire campaign period right from November until election day on January 14th.
Hon. Kyagulanyi was at the helm of this brutality which saw him end up under house arrest immediately after voting on January 14th.
Salvador who is a well known NRM supporter revealed that much as he supports Museveni, he doesn’t agree with everything that his government does especially the way they treat members of the opposition.
“Supporting Kaguta Museveni doesn’t necessarily mean I agree with everything his government does, the general treatment of opposition during the whole election period has been appalling, especially the treatment of Bobi Wine”Patrick “Salvador” Idringi, Comedian
Salvador believes there was and still is no sensible reason for putting Bobi Wine and his colleagues under detention, and believes it is disturbing for such injustices to come from people one has faith in.
“There hasn’t been any sensible reason why Bobi Wine or his colleagues are still under detention. It’s a very sad & disturbing thing wen injustice is caused by those you have faith in.”Patrick “Salvador” Idringi, Comedian
Salvador also added that free and fair elections are a myth in Africa and practically unachievable anywhere in Africa.
“As for #FreeNFair elections. I’m sorry if we still think this can be achieved anywhere in Africa.”Patrick “Salvador” Idringi, Comedian
Salvador aired his feelings on his Facebook page highlighting that it had taken him time to do so because people always water them down with insults.
