Ugandan rapper Gereson Wabuyi better known by his stage name Gravity Omtujju has revealed that he is not concerned about the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs).
The The MAMAS that were scheduled to be hosted on February 20th, 2021 in Kampala, were postponed following several cries from Ugandans and foreigners on unfavorable conditions for the awards.
During an interview with STV, the “Kapa” hit maker was adamant about the awards highlighting that he would be more concerned about other issues that the awards that he has not even followed.
“I don’t care about the MAMAS. I have not even been following them closely. Though I think it is helpful hosting them.”Gravity Omutujju
The celebrated performer said he doesn’t care whether DJ Khaled is the main host because he believes Ugandans are also going to get a chance especially the Emcees because Khaled can’t do it alone.
Omutujju said he is not feeling jealousy because he knows he was not supposed to be nominated the fact being he didn’t have any successful project in 2020.
“I am not nominated because I don’t have any hit song. But am happy for the musicians that were nominated they deserved it.”Gravity Omutujju
