President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni said the opposition will not stop them from swearing in as they have been planning.
Yesterday the current president of Uganda and National Resistance Movement chairperson Yoweri Kaguta Museveni addressed the nation.
In his address, the president said opposition have bad intentions and are even planning to stop him from swearing in but they won’t succeed.
“The opposition had been planning that they will stop the swearing-in of the President but they won’t succeed.” President Museveni said.
On March 10th, Bobi Wine called for peaceful demonstration with his supporters claiming for their victory. He said he scored 54.1% in the presidential elections hence becoming a winner.
However, police said they are aware of Bobi Wine’s intentions of disrupting the swearing in of President Museveni on 12th May .
President Museveni said the security is alert and are ready to deal with any kind of indiscipline in Uganda and those planning to disturb the peace of Ugandans.
