Kyambogo University has today released a statement informing students and all stakeholders that the university will not open for physical lectures on 1st February, 2021 as they had earlier communicated.
Kyambogo University had to resume lectures for continuing students to complete their second semester with open distance and E-learning on January 18th, 2021.
“They were supposed to report for face to face lectures on Monday 1st February to Sunday 14th February 2021, and then sit for their exams on Monday 15th February, 2021 to Sunday 28th February 2021 to mark the end of semester 2, 2019-2020.” Kyambogo University says.
However, Kyambogo University will not be able to open as they had earlier planned due to the hold up as communicated by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) under the guidance of the President on 27th January, 2021.
The President advised the National Council for Higher Education as well as the Ministry of Education and Sports not to re-open school for at least anothr three (3) months.
In adherence to the president’s advice and directive from the ministry as well as the National council for higher education, Kyambogo University will thus remain closed until further notice.
