Democratic Party president, Norbert Mao has told leaders that they should be aware of the fact that at some point they will have to leave office and somebody else will take over from them.
While discussing the issue of term extension from five (5) years to seven (7) years for all elective leadership positions on NBS’ NBS Frontline, Mao said that some leaders in the country act as though they will never leave office.
He pointed out that many leaders think that when they leave office, life stops and yet that would not be the case. He made reference to himself, highlighting the fact that at some point he is going to leave DP leadership.
