UPDF speaks out on Bobi Wine’s bodyguard Francis Senteza’s death

The Uganda People’s Defense Forces has denied allegations that Hon Kyagulanyi Sentamu’s bodyguard Senteza Francis alias Frank was knocked dead by their military truck.

In a tweet while responding to the allegations, Brig Flavia Byekwaso the Spokesperson of the Uganda People’s Defense Force clarified that Frank fell off a speeding car, Reg No UBF 850Z.

The National Unity Platform, however, claim that Frank was deliberatley knocked dead in Busega by a military vehicle as they drove from Masaka to Kampala to get Ashraf Kasirye to hospital for further treatment.

This followed a scuffle in the Greater Masaka areas where Police and the Military clashed with Bobi Wine’s campaign team and supporters, a scuffle which resulted in a couple of people getting injured.

Police has tried to block Bobi Wine and his supporters in Kyabakuza after he had allegedly defied the route plan agreed upon by the Kyotera District authorities.

As police and military fired tear gas and bullets to quell the confrontations from the supporters, several journalists including Ashraf Kasirye of Ghetto Media, NTV reporter Ali Mivule as well as NBS TV senior Reporter, Daniel Lutaaya all sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital.
