Controversy is one of the words we could use to describe Hon. Anite Evelyne, the Member of Parliament for Koboko Municipality and State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization.
The vocal legislator lost her NRM flag bearer position for the position in which she is an incumbent but not even that has get her less vocal.
After losing in the NRM Primaries, one would think that Hon. Evelyne Anite would grow less vocal and cold, but she has only gotten stronger and even more of a die-hard than she was before.
The lady that proclaimed that “they have the majje” spent the day yesterday in the areas of Kamwokya in Kampala District, an area that houses the National Unity Platform (NUP) offices and a Bobi Wine stronghold.
She has accused NUP’s Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi WIne of being weak minded to the point of failing to fight poverty and bedbugs in the Ghettos of Kamwokya were he hails from.
This comes as a response to Bobi Wine’s act of endorsing National Resistance Movement flag bearer and opponent to Minister Anite in the Koboko Municipality parliamentary seat race, Dr. Charles Ayume.
Anite lost her fame in the northern district, let alone the entire nation, after she endorsed the change of the constitution to allow NRM’s Museveni to contest for a sixth term in office. Things only got worse when she responded to the media with an arrogant “we have the majje” statement that has come to describe her.
After losing the Primaries, Anite has tried to regain her people’s trust and popularity but it all seems unlikely and with Bobi Wine endorsing her opponent, Dr. Ayume, there seems to be no come back for her.
But the furious cabinet minister went to Kamwokya to try and do damage control accusing the presidential candidate of abusing her and tarnishing her name and reputation in her electorate while campaigning for Ayume.
Anite who had camped in the Kamwokya ghettos, which happen to be Bobi Wine’s territories hit back at the Gladiator by faulting the Kyadondo East legislator of neglecting his people in absolute poverty and running off to Magere after becoming rich; which prompted her to intervene and secure their future.
“I spent the day in Kamyokya discussing with ghetto youths on how 2 improve their lives like ending the bedbug problem. When @HEBobiwine became rich, he forgot the Ghetto & moved to a mansion in Magere. He’s now in Koboko abusing me. Am in Kamwokya Securing the Future 4 the ppleHon Evelyne Anite
Bobi told Koboko people that he has studied Dr. Ayume and had found him as the right choice to represent the people of Koboko in the 11th parliament.
