The Story Behind Their Fallout and the Upcoming Track “Mamacita”

In the dynamic Ugandan music scene, few friendships have drawn as much public interest as the one between Feffe Bussi and Karole Kasita. Once known for their close collaboration and on stage chemistry, the pair’s relationship has noticeably cooled in recent times. Feffe Bussi, the self-proclaimed Smallest Rapper and widely regarded as the current King of Ugandan Hip Hop, is set to address the situation directly in his forthcoming song “Mamacita.”

Feffe Bussi and Karole Kasita previously worked together on several popular tracks, including “Ebyo Byoli,” “Muhammad Ali,” “Party Culture,” and “Bestie.” Their strong on camera and social media rapport led many fans to speculate about a possible romantic relationship. However, both artists consistently described their bond as a genuine platonic friendship.

That closeness has since diminished. Feffe Bussi recently disclosed that he went nearly a full year without speaking to Karole Kasita. According to him, her boyfriend issued a firm instruction for Feffe to stop meeting, communicating, and performing with the singer.

The situation gained further attention when Feffe Bussi did not appear at Karole Kasita’s recent concert held at Kampala Serena Hotel. Despite earlier expectations and rehearsals, he was absent from the event. In interviews, Feffe cited logistical challenges including a conflicting performance in Kalangala and ferry schedules while also acknowledging the broader breakdown in communication between them.

Karole Kasita has addressed the matter more calmly, stating that she was not overly affected. She pointed to personal growth and new relationships as natural factors that often cause friendships in the industry to evolve. She noted that both she and Feffe now have partners who are uncomfortable with the previous level of closeness.
