King Saha has dismissed claims that he is at odds with Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president Eddy Kenzo, saying their differences are based on ideology and opinions rather than personal hostility.
Saha made the remarks following a recent encounter with Kenzo at the burial of veteran music promoter Master Parrot. The two musicians were seen exchanging pleasantries and speaking warmly about each other, a moment that sparked discussion among fans on social media given their history of public disagreements.
According to Saha, many people misunderstand his outspoken nature and often assume he has personal conflicts with those he criticizes.
“Eddy Kenzo is not my enemy. We only differ in ideology and opinion on certain matters. It’s only my approach when I’m talking about an issue that can make people think that I have trouble with someone, but I’m a very peaceful person,” Saha explained.
The singer also weighed in on the attention generated by Kenzo’s decision to thank National Unity Platform president Bobi Wine during Master Parrot’s burial ceremony.
Saha said he was not surprised by Kenzo’s gesture, noting that Bobi Wine played a significant role in supporting many musicians during the early stages of their careers.
“I wasn’t shocked at all seeing Kenzo thanking Bobi Wine. It had to be so because Bobi Wine gave them a platform and supported their music careers. Bobi did a lot for many artists, depending on the circumstances at that time,” Saha said.
