Naira Ali has criticized what she describes as a growing trend of DJs depending on viral songs rather than developing the skills required to master the profession.

In a strongly worded statement, the singer argued that simply playing tracks that are trending on YouTube or TikTok does not make someone a genuine DJ.
According to her, the craft requires technical ability, creativity and a deep understanding of music beyond what is currently popular online.
“You’re a DJ and you only play hit songs, songs with most views on YouTube, songs popular on TikTok. You cannot mix, master, cannot build playlists, cannot identify good and unique songs. BRO, you are not a DJ, you’re just some lousy dude like any other dude playing music on Bluetooth,” Naira Ali wrote.
She stressed that a professional DJ should be able to mix tracks seamlessly, build engaging playlists, discover unique music and create an unforgettable experience for audiences.
