Singer Elijah Kitaka has revealed one of the most unexpected encounters he has had with a fan, recalling how a woman kissed him on the lips while he was performing on stage.
Speaking to NRG Radio, Kitaka said the incident happened during a performance at The Villa, leaving him with only a few seconds to process what had happened.
“She kissed me on my lips and I didn’t do anything. I wouldn’t say I was offended because I don’t know how she felt to do that, but sometimes we need to be stronger,” Kitaka said.
The singer explained that the kiss was so abrupt that he did not even have time to react or wipe it off his lips. He also declined to say whether he enjoyed the unexpected gesture, insisting that he simply did not know how to respond in the moment.
“What should I have done, for real? She was excited to see me and she kissed me, and I had five seconds to process,” he added.
Kitaka’s revelation highlights some of the unpredictable moments artists can experience while interacting with enthusiastic fans during live performances.
