Fresh controversy has emerged following the death of comedian Yokana Mbuuse, popularly known as Kapere Lufotose or Daddy Trump, with claims alleging that his wife, Lydia Nakandi, also known as Mama Trump, used to physically abuse him as he cried out that she was “going to kill me.”
The claims have circulated in TikTok videos and other online discussions since Kapere’s death on November 1, 2026. Some posts allege that he was physically assaulted by his wife, while others claim he had previously cried out for help and expressed fears about his safety.
One post circulating on X on November 8 accused Mama Trump of beating her husband, sharing a video alongside the allegation. YouTuber Vic Exclusive has also published several videos discussing the comedian’s family, his widow and the unfinished house that has become part of the public conversation.

However, the allegations have not been independently verified, and no official findings establishing that domestic abuse occurred have been provided in the information available.
Kapere died after reportedly collapsing during a visit to his child’s school in Wakiso District. His wife previously described his final moments, saying he complained of a severe headache before collapsing, biting his tongue and foaming at the mouth. She also recounted financial pressure, including a landlord’s call demanding approximately Shs320,000 in rent arrears.
He was rushed for medical attention but later died. Police confirmed that a post-mortem examination would be conducted to establish the cause of death. His family said he had no known previous illness.
The online allegations have added another layer to the public discussion surrounding the comedian’s death. However, claims circulating on social media should not be treated as established facts without credible evidence or an official investigation.
