Cindy Sanyu has made it clear that while she is open to stepping back into the music battle arena, she has no interest in facing Sheebah Karungi again.
Speaking during an interview on NRG Breakfast Club, the self-proclaimed “King Herself” said she would only consider another music battle if the right promoter came forward with a lucrative offer.
However, she stressed that it would have to be against a different opponent, saying she needs a fresh challenge.
“I need an actual challenge,” Cindy said, adding that she would even be willing to battle a male musician if the matchup made sense. When the hosts suggested Juliana Kanyomozi as a possible opponent, Cindy quickly dismissed the idea, arguing that their music styles are too different to make for a fair competition.
“That wouldn’t be a battle, it’d be a show because she’s gonna bring a totally different flavor and I’m going to bring something different. Put Juliana and Iryn Namubiru any day, I’ll pay. Their music and branding are similar,” she explained.
According to Cindy, the ideal battle should feature two artists capable of matching each other hit for hit over several rounds, rather than someone who runs out of songs early in the contest.
Asked who she believes could genuinely go toe-to-toe with her, Cindy pointed to Grace Nakimera, saying she would have been the perfect opponent had she not stepped away from the music industry.
