The controversy surrounding the ownership of the song See You Tonight continues to intensify, with songwriter Mozy Wryta now stepping forward to clarify who actually purchased the track.

The dispute began last week when Cindy Sanyu claimed that she had invested in the song and its production, only for Omega 256 to take control of the project while allegedly giving her a small share of the revenue.

Omega 256 quickly dismissed the allegations during an interview, insisting that Cindy was being dishonest and demanding an apology for what she described as an attempt to tarnish her reputation.

However, the latest revelations from songwriter Mozy Wryta appear to add a new twist to the ongoing saga.

Speaking in an interview, Mozy Wryta revealed that it was Cindy who officially purchased the song from him for Shs 3.2 million.

“Cindy paid me cash of Shs 2.2 million and told me she will send the Shs 1 million later. There’s a girl called Drum Queen who usually moves with Cindy, she’s the one who sent me the remaining balance of Shs 1 million to make the full amount.”

According to the songwriter, he even presented mobile money payment records to the interview host as proof that Cindy completed payment for the song.

Mozy further explained how the song came into existence, noting that producer Oppe first handed him the instrumental before he wrote the lyrics.

That song was produced by Oppe and he gave me the beat but I gave it like three days and then I came and wrote a song for it and I called Cindy’s PA to give it to her.”
